Lynn Jackson, PT, Owner
Lynn has been a practicing Physical Therapist since 1987. She is the owner and founder of Ergowellness Inc and has been in private practice since 2000. She graduated from Texas Women's University with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. She has worked in multiple orthopedic settings across the United States. She is certified in ergonomics and has consulting contracts with local businesses. She has provided training classes and acted as a speaker on ergonomics and musculoskeletal related topics to different groups in the community and state wide, including DPT graduate students at Texas State. She has attended many specialty classes in her continuing education that include: Diagnosis and Treatment of Movement System Impairment Syndromes, Maitland, International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine, Postural Restoration, Function Manual Therapy, graduate courses and many others over the years. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and enjoys the challenge of triathlons, long distance biking, swimming and hiking.
Lisa Knutson, PT
Lisa graduated from UT Southwestern School of Allied Health with a Masters in Physical Therapy in 2000, after attending Texas A&M where she was an Aggie swimmer. Being involved in athletics all of her life and then having to have surgery herself in college sparked her interest in Physical Therapy. Shortly after graduation she moved to Charlottesville, VA where she worked in both the home care setting and outpatient orthopedics. In 2007 she moved back to Texas with her family and has been working at Ergowellness since then. She has taken many manual therapy courses, enjoyed working with a diverse population, and feel education is a key to making patients feel better. She has 3 kids and a great husband who keeps her busy outside of work.
Mary Hine, PT
Mary graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 1989 with a Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy. Since graduating from college she has worked in a variety of settings including acute care, subacute neurological rehabilitation, nursing home and now orthopedic outpatient care. Mary is involved with University of St. Augustine in teaching the lab portion of Aquatic Therapy course. She has also completed many continuing education courses including: John Barnes’ Myofascial Release, Maitland’s Essential Peripheral Joint, University of St. Augustine Spinal Evaluation and Manipulation, Kevin Wilk’s Recent Advances in Treatment of Shoulder and Knee, Aquatic Stretch Manual Therapy Techniques and Aquatic Options. In her spare time Mary enjoys spending time with her husband and 5 children. She spends a great amount of time watching all their sporting events and likes the great outdoor activities that Austin have to offer including biking and hiking.
Alysia Chatfield, PT, DPT
Alysia is a recent graduate of Texas State Physical Therapy program. She received her bachelors of science in kinesiology at Texas A&M University where she met her husband. She became interested in physical therapy after receiving it her self after years of competitive gymnastics, as well as being fascinated with how the human body works. In her spare time she enjoys Aggie football and spending time with her family.
Courtney Rivadeneira, PT, DPT
Courtney graduated from The University of St. Augustine Physical Therapy program in Austin,TX. She earned her bachelor's degree from The University of Texas. She chose the physical therapy profession because of her love of exercise and helping people reach their goals. Courtney played basketball growing up and worked as a personal trainer prior to attending PT school. She continues to enjoy an active lifestyle, being outdoors, and enjoying all that Austin has to offer with her husband and son.
Matthew Bierschenk, PT, DPT
Matt is a recent graduate of the Texas State Physical Therapy program in San Marcos. While he is native to East Texas, he has lived in the Austin area since 2004 after moving here to attend undergrad at the University of Texas at Austin, where he studied Sociology. Like many therapists, his interest in the craft was sparked after undergoing knee surgery and subsequently rehab in 2012. Growing up, he played soccer for 11 years, but his interests as an athlete have rarely settled on just one sport. He is very active in the Ultimate Frisbee community, both volunteering as a coach for the UT club team, and as a member of the Austin Sol, a professional team that plays across the country. In his spare time, he enjoys spending the days outside with his friends and dog, watching UT sports, and traveling.
Leslie Ann, PTA, LMT
Leslie has been a Physical Therapist Assistant here at ErgoWellness since 2010. She graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1985, having majored in Russian and Russian Area Studies. However by 1994, found her way into a life long career doing body work as a Licensed Massage Therapist. Her focus has been structural body work, but she also utilizes craniosacral and fascial release therapies. In order to gain a deeper understanding of body mechanics and health, she returned to school in the PTA Program at Austin Community College. Currently, she is enrolled in a Yoga Teacher Training program for Healthcare Professionals. While she has been known to complete a bike ride or triathlon, she'd rather be hiking on the Appalachian Trail or down in the Big Bend camping. "Yoga is my fitness style, but living life fully is my groove."
Deenie Bowen, PTA
Deenie Bowen is a born and raised South Austinite who graduated from Texas A&M University at College Station in 2010 with a B.S. in Kinesiology (Whoop!). She then went on to graduate from Austin Community College and received an associates degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. After having worked at Ergowellness as a Tech, Deenie rejoined the Ergo team in June 2013, but now as a licensed PTA. She originally became interested in physical therapy when she went through it herself in high school, often having knee pain during soccer games. Physical therapy offered a combination of education, exercise and helping people feel better, which were already passions of hers. When Deenie is not helping patients, she enjoys the many oddities of Austin, watching any Aggie athletic event and relaxing at her new home in Buda with her Boston Terrier Annabelle.
Ariel Nathanson, PTA
Ariel Nathanson spent the first half of her life as a beach baby in Florida, then moved to the Texas Hill Country in 2005. Her early education started in the lab school for the International Montessori Foundation. She earned a B.S. in Allied Health in 2014 from Texas A&M University - College Station (Whoop!), followed by an Associate degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from South University in Round Rock. Ariel has always lead an active lifestyle which includes dance, gymnastics, cheerleading, horseback riding, strength training, yoga, hiking, rock climbing, and bouldering. She shares her interest in exercise, the human body, and service to others along with her mother, a Physical Therapist for forty years and her father, a renowned martial artist. When Ariel isn’t working she loves to explore Austin’s nature and beauty and travel the world.
Michael D. Boudoin II, CSCS, CEASII
Michael Boudoin grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. A football scholarship brought him to Austin to play for the University of Texas, where he played as a defensive linebacker from 1994-1998. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, Health Promotion and Fitness. In February 2002, Michael became certified through the NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist for the Activity Center at Motorola, where he created fitness and wellness programs. He helped design and implement several fitness programs like Weight Training for Women, various Boot Camp classes, as well as marathon/triathlon training programs. At Ergowellness, Michael brings his 15+ years of experience and vast knowledge to help patients continue to improve their fitness levels and achieve their goals after physical therapy. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities and coaching for the Central Texas Badgers Youth Sport Organization, which he cofounded 4 years ago! He enjoys long walks on the beach and spending time with his children and dog, Lola Belle.
